The Absolute One is the first knife in the Absolute series.  This knife is built to be a Titanium workhouse, while still keeping a uniquely elegant appearance. You’ll notice high quality components right out of the package. The Titanium 4.53 inch handles enclose the stonewashed drop point blade made of Bohler’s M390 super high grade steel. The opening mechanism begins with a simple flip launched by the slight push of a finger and controlled by a ceramic ball bearing system. The blade secures via its Titanium frame lock and is finished with a Titanium pocket clip (tip up).

BLADE MATERIAL

M390 (Bohler-Uddeholm)
M390 is considered by many on the market to be a super steel due to its excellent corrosion / stain resistance and wonderful hardness / high wear resistance. It’s produced via a third generation powder metal technology and can reach a 60-62 HRC. Bohler calls this steel “Microclean” and it can be polished to a mirror finish. Like many hard steels, the tradeoff on this steel’s most excellent blade retention is that it can be moderately difficult to sharpen, but just moderate. Due to all these fine qualities you can commonly find this used in not only custom knives around the world, but it’s also extremely popular in surgical applications.

HANDLE MATERIAL

Titanium
We use titanium in many of our handles, clips, and liner and frame locking materials. We value it for 3 main advantages: Strength, appearance, and light weight. When combining the full formula of those three advantages it results in what we believe is the best way to encapsulate and support our most premium folders.

Instructions

Opening via the flipper

While knife is closed, hold knife firmly allowing for knife opening to be clear to open blade. Then apply pressure with your index finger on the flipper. The more pressure, the faster the blade will fully open to locked position.

Unlocking the Blade

The blade will automatically secure when fully opened by the frame lock. To unlock the frame lock, simply push the left frame in the left direction with your thumb until blade is clear. Then push blade down to close. Be sure all fingers are clear before fully closing blade.

Got this with their awesome law enforcement discount code (thanks for that guys), but it’s worth full price. My wife calls me a pocket knife junkie, so I may have a few knives in my collection. This one is right there with a couple of my ZT knives. In fact, I would say it’s finish is even better. Absolutely love it. Only had a couple weeks, so will give more input later. So far I would say great job on this beauty. Going to get the Iconic CF next month.
NOTE: I got the compact version first and called and switched with the larger size. I’m a bigger guy and the compact was too small for my hands. Customer service took care of me quickly.
