BLADE MATERIAL

CPM S35VN (Crucibal Industries)
CPM S35VN is one of the most coveted knife steels in today’s premier and custom knives. Designed and developed in cooperation by one of the best custom knife makers in the US and released to the tool and knife community in his honored knives; this steel offers great edge retention, toughness, stain resistance and still easy to sharpen.

A martensitic stainless steel designed to offer improved toughness over Crucibal’s S30V. It is also easier to machine and polish than CPM S30V. Its chemistry has been rebalanced so that it forms some niobium carbides along with vanadium and chromium carbides. Substituting niobium carbides for some of the vanadium carbides makes CPM S35VN about 15-20% tougher than CPM S30V without any loss of wear resistance. CPM S35VN’s improved toughness gives it better resistance to edge chipping. Because both vanadium and niobium car bides are harder and more effective than chromium carbides in providing wear resistance, the CPM stainless blade steels offer improved edge retention over conventional high chromium steels such as 440C and D2.

The CPM process produces very homogeneous, high quality steel characterized by superior dimensional stability, grind ability, and toughness compared to steels produced by conventional melting practices.

HANDLE MATERIAL

Titanium
We use titanium in many of our handles, clips, and liner and frame locking materials. We value it for 3 main advantages: Strength, appearance, and light weight. When combining the full formula of those three advantages it results in what we believe is the best way to encapsulate and support our most premium folders.

Opening via the flipper

While knife is closed, hold knife firmly allowing for knife opening to be clear to open blade. Then apply pressure with your index finger on the flipper. The more pressure, the faster the blade will fully open to locked position. Make sure your fingers are clear of the opening. Injury can occur if it is not.

The blade will automatically secure when fully opened by the frame lock. To unlock the frame lock, simply push the left frame in the left direction with your thumb until blade is clear. Then push blade down to close. Be sure all fingers are clear before fully closing blade.

Just received mine today – very fast shipping. Great little knife. Very well made with smooth action and great fit and finish. I have two other flippers in this size range and this is the easiest to open. As I always do, I removed the clip since I never use them. A perfect addition to my small pocket knife collection.

  2. Jim

Great little EDC. Nice fit and finish and smooth action.

  3. Andy

Love this little knife. The fit and finish and action are great. The only downside to this knife is the pocket clip, it is too close to the handle and too stiff. If you put it in your pocket, you will have a tough time taking it out. The mounting point should be higher. Only reason I didnt give it a five star rating.

  4. Goff

Love it. Fit and finish is superb. Knife is small very easy to carry. Feel nothing in the pocket
