AUS-10
AUS-10 Steel is a Japanese stainless steel that can be comparable to 440C. It has more vanadium and less chromium than 440C so it is slightly tougher, but also a little less rust resistant. We think this is a fine steel for a knife that can produce a great edge and have a great combination of toughness and easy to sharpen.
G10
This extremely durable handle is made of layers of fiberglass soaked in resin. Great water proof qualities and tough wear resistance allow this to be one of the most common handles used in knife handles. It is also easy to shape and color allowing for great customization.
While knife is closed, hold knife firmly allowing for knife opening to be clear to open blade. Then apply pressure with your index finger on the flipper. The more pressure, the faster the blade will fully open to locked position. Make sure your fingers are clear of the opening. Injury can occur if it is not.
The blade will automatically secure when fully opened by the frame lock. To unlock the frame lock, simply push the left frame in the left direction with your thumb until blade is clear. Then push blade down to close. Be sure all fingers are clear before fully closing blade.

Failure to properly maintain your knife also may cause its mechanisms to not function properly, which could result in injury to you or damage to the knife.
Like most tools, our knives should be cared for properly. As your knife has been used for an extended period of time, it is possible that the knife may need sharpening or maintenance to retain its usefulness. Any and all maintenance is the responsibility of the knife owner and is not covered by this warranty.

I love this knife! I’ve had it now for about 2 months and still have yet to sharpen it, no need yet. The scales did take a bit of getting used to (when you play with it for like 2 hrs straight it gets a bit rough on the finger tips lol) but they work VERY well with gloves or without. It is heavy duty and sharp as hell right out of the box. The flipping action is a bit stiff but I think part of that is just because the blade is so stout.

Just received the Factor Hardened Knife today in the orange G-10. This knife is very impressive! The first thing I noticed was it’s presence in hand. This is definitely a workhorse and feels very robust. The flipper tab sends the knife into the open position with a authority but also very smoothly! Disengage the frame lock and it falls closed just as smooth. The machining on the top spine is a unique and cool feature and actually allows you to open the knife similarly to a hole in the blade. My knife was dead centered and just super impressive right out of the box. I’m very excited about this knife and can already tell it will be a substantial hard use folder that will be prepared for all my cutting needs! Another winner from Factor Equipment! They continue to impress. Well Done!
